And that's where Co Monaghan pork producer Paddy Mallon came in. A boxing fan, he stumped up €7,000 to install the loo and shower and is now a proud sponsor of the Bray Boxing Club.
Yesterday, he said he was delighted with the building's new incarnation
"It's brand spanking new. There's a proper boxing ring with weights and medicine balls," he said.
And most importantly, the owner of Mallon Foods is happy to report, it has a throne which is finally fit for sporting royalty such as Katie Taylor.?
