Cormac Lucey
Cormac Lucey: I wonder about the effectiveness of Fine Gael’s attacks on Sinn Féin presidential hopeful Martin McGuinness. Environment minister Phil Hogan charged that "Putting Mr McGuinness in charge of this State would leave us looking like a banana republic which could denude Ireland of serious levels of corporate investment within 24 months”. This is clearly contradicted by McGuinness’s successful role in attracting US investment to Northern Ireland?
