Carlin v DPP: Prosecutorial Discretion and the Decision (not) to Prosecute « Human Rights in Ireland: Carlin raises a number of interesting questions that intersect with broader issues of justice in the criminal process, not least whether the review and subsequent U-turn by the DPP is indicative of a prosecution (and therefore, a State) in tune with the concerns of victims and the public.?
